南極とスカイプ
"at the bottom the world"っていう表現が気になりました。
top of the worldは北極ということか。
重力的には、皆が"top of the world"に立っているようなものですけれど。

重力的には、皆が"top of the world"に立っているようなものですけれど。
These are pictures that Matt sent to me one night on Skype. Matt is an Australian who is currently stationed in Antarctica. It was an interesting conversation but I was totally struck by the idea that I could sit in my home in Atlanta and with free software, speak directly to a person at the bottom of the world.

SF好きな身にしてみれば、地上人は全て重力の底にいるわけですので、「皆が"bottom of the world"」という感じだったりしますね(笑)
